We will be teaming up with a prominent Civil War historian, Mr. Scott Harris, Director of the New Market Battlefield State Historical Park, to provide historical details for each of the major battlefields exclusively for our tour members. As you stroll with this native and life long student of the Civil War in the valley, you will be exposed to his detailed insight into beautiful Shenandoah Valley Virginia, circa Spring 1862 when General T.J. "Stonewall" Jackson began his now famous Valley Campaign. You have two options, you can choose the battlefield tour only that runs 4 days or you may opt for an extended 7 day tour. With the 7 day tour you will be guided to much more of the surrounding area. Meet and ride with our special guests and see many more of the historical sites in and around the beautiful Shenandoah Valley. Both tours are designed to provide excellent motorcycle riding and a comprehensive, entertaining historical presentation. Both tours include 4 days of guided motorcycle rides to the battlefields, lodging at the Hampton Inn, Staunton each night of your tour, breakfast and lunch each day of the tour, motorcycle tour guides, park and museum admission and battlefield historian and more. We have several special guests including Hawk Hagebak, author of Motorcycle Adventures in the Southern Appalachians Vol. 1 & 2 and his newest release Motorcycle Adventures in the Central Appalachians also, Dale Coyner author of Motorcycle Journeys Through the Appalachians and member of the Virginia Governor's Motorcycle Advisory Council. You will have a chance to ride and talk with these motorcycling experts as well as our historians. We have arranged private tours of the Virginia Military Institute Museum and the New Market Battlefield State Park for our guests. All of this for just $1249.00 (dbl occ.) for the 4 day/night tour or $1889.00 (dbl occ.) for the 7 day/night tour.
